Lito Messini, a Greek opera singer and performer, graduated from the
Athens Conservatoire (prof. Julia Troussa) and continued her studies at the Opera Studio of the Greek National Opera (prof. Angelo Simo, Mata Katsouli, Aris Christofelis).
She also studied also with Marlis Petersen and Michael Chance.
She has been involved in
GNO opera productions and educational programs since 2012.
She has also performed with prominent music and theatre organizations, such as the Athens Concert Hall, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, BAM New York, the Royal Opera House in London, IRCAM Centre Pompidou, La Filature - Scène Nationale de Mulhouse, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, RomaEuropa Festival, and Festival de Marseille.
Her repertoire spans from baroque to contemporary music and musical theatre. She collaborates with theatrical directors, contemporary composers, choreographers, visual artists, and performance artists across the fields of opera, theatre, music theatre, and the performing arts.
She is a co-founder of the music theatre company
RAFí (founded in 2012), which collaborates with major music organizations in Greece (Greek National Opera, Athens Concert Hall, Athens Epidaurus Festival).
She also serves as artistic co-director (with the mezzo-soprano Anastasia Kotsali) and production manager for the
Kournos Music Festival, held every summer in Lemnos island since 2021.
